"But parsing through a seething metropolis of millions of people and figuring out who gets to decide what about where and how others can and should live, what the difference is between helping and condescending, when which humans should lose their freedoms… a few hours on the crisis response team makes me feel like I've lost all semblance of right and wrong. There is something vague and gaseous underneath the whole entire concept, and the further up the thought experiment you get the more wobbly it all feels."

As a community worker & artist, it is my life's work to perceive the vibrant mosaic of human experience, to draw those around me into a shared realm where intimacy elevates the collective over the individual. The direct inverse of live figurative painting and emergency dispatched crisis response makes visible the mirrors edge of autonomy and violation. Together, let us reflect on what you accept and expect from yourself and from others. Let us create.
